About

I am Denisa Divoká

A clay builder — connected to clay my whole life.

I specialise in natural surfaces: clay and lime plasters, decorative finishes, tadelakt. Alongside realizations on site, I run consultations, teach workshops, write, and record interviews.

I care about material, and about how it shapes the atmosphere of a space — colour, texture, touch, light, the feeling that stays in a room. I have formal training and years of practice on site behind me, and clay and I go back far enough that I know what it can do and what it can't. I like talking about the beauty of natural surfaces, but just as much about their limits, appropriate use, and what a realization actually looks like in practice.

What I do

The work I do

  1. I execute natural plasters and decorative surfaces — for private clients and in collaboration with architects and designers.

  2. I advise on choosing materials, substrates, working methods — and what to do when something goes wrong on site.

  3. I run workshops where people get their hands into the clay themselves — not just hear how it's done.

  4. I write about natural building and craft — about what actually works on site, not what should.

  5. I record interviews with people from the natural-building world for Divocast.
